Insulating Tubes and Composite Hollow Insulators
for High-Voltage Applications
Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) designs and manufactures insulation tubes from glassfiber reinforced polymers for their worldwide renowned tapchangers for more than about 30 years. This business field has been started since products available on the market did not fulfill MR’s quality requirements. Meanwhile a significant part of the tube production is sold under the brand ROTAFIL® to external customers with similar high quality standards. Examples of applications: insulating housings for high voltage apparatus, bobbins for coils in medical equipment as well as in reactors and transformers and insulating shafts of rotating machines.
Based on this know-how and experience it was a logical step to expand the business field insulation material and offer hollow composite insulators in MR-quality to the market. Under the brand name ReCoTec® (Reinhausen Composite Technology) a continuously growing range of hollow insulators with silicone rubber sheds for outdoor applications as well as without sheds for indoor use is available.
Due to the steady growth of the insulating materials branch, the Power Composites® business division was outsourced from the Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen on August 1, 2009 and has been an independent GmbH ever since.
The Reinhausen Power Composites GmbH is a 100-percent subsidiary member of the Reinhausen Group.
"POWER COMPOSITES®” is a brand and registered trademark of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH for products in relation to electric insulation such as insulating tubes for high voltage applications and composite hollow insulators.
