Voltage regulators of the TAPCON® range have represented uncompromising reliability for more than 40 years. This is yet another reason why Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) is the market leader in the voltage regulation sector. Its extensive experience is now concentrated in the latest TAPCON® generation which offers maximum flexibility for current and future requirements. In addition to simple regulating tasks, the TAPCON® also controls complex special applications such as three-winding transformers, transformer banks, phase shifters and shunt reactors. The modular system means that the regulator’s performance range can be matched exactly to requirements in each case.
ISM® technology - a milestone for the automation of substations
Volatile electricity producers are typical of the modern power supply – and they harbour new challenges for the automation of substations. ISM® technology is the new standard hardware and software basis which will be used for all MR automation solutions from now on – and this applies to the new TAPCON® voltage regulator too.
TAPCON® voltage regulators have maximum ability to communicate and, depending on type, support the common control system protocols IEC61850, IEC60870-5-101/103, DNP3 and MODBUS.
